MOOC is devoted to an urgent and important problem of modern medicine - a combination of ischemic heart disease and diabetes. The questions of epidemiology and pathogenetic mechanisms of the development of these diseases are considered. The diagnostic criteria and clinical features of coronary heart disease in patients with diabetes are highlighted. The most important risk factors for the occurrence and progression of coronary heart disease, as well as the development of complications of coronary heart disease and diabetes are considered. The main aspects of the management and treatment of patients with diabetes and coronary heart disease are discussed.

The course is offered for students of medical universities, practitioners of therapists, cardiologists, endocrinologists, as well as doctors of other specialties who wish to increase their knowledge in the field of therapy, cardiology and endocrinology.

Students will learn how to diagnose diabetes and coronary heart disease, according to modern criteria, to assess the cardiovascular risk and risk of developing and progressing complications of diabetes, and also learn the tactics of managing patients with a combination of diabetes and coronary heart disease.
