Public Health as a key resource for the wellbeing of society

The course introduces the basic definitions and key indicators essential for understanding public health, such as demographic metrics, morbidity rates, and measures of disability.

Students will learn various methods of studying public health, enabling them to analyze and interpret health data effectively. The training will cover the identification and impact of main risk factors for noncommunicable diseases, such as lifestyle choices, environmental factors, and genetic predispositions.

Additionally, the course will explore evidence-based approaches to the prevention of these diseases and strategies for health promotion, equipping students with the skills needed to design and implement effective public health interventions. Through this comprehensive curriculum, students will gain a solid foundation in public health principles and practices, preparing them for careers in health policy, research, and community health initiatives.
